Project Illumination

Students were asked to design ambient lighting for a room or area of a room in their home. The designs are inspired by a specific influential architectural building or detail of a building. Students also designed a structural feature that allows the user to adjust the intensity of the light. Prototypes were produced from colored cardboard. Final designs are made from acrylic utilizing band saws, scroll saws, and drill presses made available from the IDO prototyping lab.
